People



Farhad Shirani Chaharsooghi is an Assistant Professor at the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences at Florida International University . Prior to that he was an Assistant Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at North Dakota State University. Before joining NDSU, he was a member of the faculty at New York University. He was a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan in Spring and Summer of 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan in April 2017. He also received his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics in 2016. His research interests are in the general areas of privacy and security, wireless communications, information theory, and learning theory.

Mahshad Shariatnasab is a Ph.D. student member of Π-CoLab. Mahshad is pursuing her Ph.D. at the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences at Florida International University She received her M.Sc. from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology in 2017. She completed her B.Sc. at Shahid Beheshti University in 2015. Her research interests are in the general areas of security and privacy, reliability, and power systems.

Marian Temprana Alonso is a Ph.D. student member of Π-CoLab. She is pursuing her Ph.D. at the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences at Florida International University. She received her B.Sc in Applied Mathematics from Florida International University in 2022. Her research interests are in the general areas of wireless communication, privacy and security.
